Today I have the privilege of featuring the incredible music of Shane & Shane.
They have graciously agreed to give away 3 downloads of their newest album, The One You Need. At the end of this post are instructions on how to snag a free copy.
This is particularly awesome because the album doesn’t release until October 4.
And if I can say it simply, it’s blowing my mind right now.
Do yourself a favor and check out this video of their current single, “The One You Need”:

The first time I saw Shane & Shane live was the first time I saw my future wife.
That’s how powerful these guys are 🙂
I also remember back to my college days, hearing their Psalms album for the first time wondering if it was even possible to play guitar that fast and sing so high.
Were those harmonies even real?
Since then, Shane & Shane have always delivered music at the highest caliber. What I appreciate most about their music is not just the amazing skill, passionate delivery, and unique style, it’s there passion for truth.
They read Scripture. They don’t just read it, they communicate it well. Without a doubt, there newest album may be their most challenging yet.
These are songs that reveal and speak to our deepest need. It’s not prosperity, not even healing, love, joy, peace, or any of God’s good gifts. We need Jesus.
Winners!
- Amy Fontenot
- Babs Coppedge
- Derek Bohlen
If you didn’t win, you should go purchase the album anyway. Also, follow Shane & Shane on Twitter, like them on Facebook, and check out their youtube videos.

I love how they are continuing what seems to be a trend of fathers and men stepping up. Too many people are calling this a fatherless generation, and I love how men are stepping up and showing that being a loving and Godly man is strong and honorable, not weak. I really enjoyed this song! Thanks!
Blake Larson says
I love Shane & Shane! And I liked their collaboration with Tedashii on his latest album. I’m sure this album will be amazing.
Brandon says
I really enjoyed the last worship project with Shane and Shane called “Lift Up the Light”. It was Oaks worship, but it had them in it. The title song is amazing!
I’m sure this CD is just as good!

Oh man…memories! Ahhh…
David…this is probably my favorite post you’ve done! j/k
Shane Barnard is the reason i picked up the guitar and wrote a song…Then obviously God gave me the passion full force a heart to write and worship HIM!
good stuff, good stuff.
My favorite S&S song will always be Psalm 145…Always!

That’s awesome how much of an influence they’ve been on your ministry. Sweet!

Shane and Shane have been my personal worship leaders (on my ipod) since before the iPod! They’re so gifted at leading and writing. I’m so glad they continue to write powerful and catchy songs that lead people into the presence of our King, Jesus! Thanks for posting this David!
David Santistevan says
No problem, bro!

I don’t own any of their albums but would love to have their Cd in my collection, wow another artist to discover and get to know and love their tunes. David Santistevan says
Thanks for reading, Jennifer!
Doug says
The Shanes are amazing songwriters and their voices seem to have been made for each other. In an industry full of mediocre talent, these guys shine.
David Santistevan says
Agreed.

I love how they turn the Bible into song. Their songs stay with you and winning a cd would allow me to continually be reminded of Gods word!

Love Shane and Shane. I think it is the best live concert anybody could go to or ask for! They just enjoy so much what they do and the passion for people just comes out! It’s great to watch and even better to have at my fingertips!

When I was in college we used to have a prayer session in the mornings and we would play so many Shane and Shane songs. Their music has always created a heartbeat that flows through the body of Christ. Looking forward to this next album.
Derek says
So I didn’t know the comment was the entry I thought we wrote to you. Anyway here is the full reason I would love a copy. I am on the road for 7 months of the year in my car traveling from coast to coast, and S&S just have a passion that lead me to worship! I can’t go to church hardly at all during this stretch and try to worship through music, S&S do that for me! I wouldnlove their new music to add to all the other albums I have of theirs, and enhance my worship experience with the best melodies the earth has to offer! They are fantastic!
David Santistevan says
7 months a year! What do you do on the road?
Chris Underwood says
I can’t say enough great things about the music that Shane and Shane produce. Many of their songs are straight from the Word of God and,as far as I’m concerned, is the best music you can have. Whether I am lucky enough to win the album or not, come Oct 4, I will have one in my CD player. Great job on the song “The One You Need”.
conny says
great song love it. the song Jesus is all you need is perfect. Al we need is Jesus!!
Amy Fontenot says
I am so excited to hear this whole album! “The One You Need” is such a beautiful song.
Babs Coppedge says
I have yet to hear their new album in it’s entirety, but I am confident that it is as good–and deep–as you say it is. They seem to write that way … deep-to-deep. I’m sure that whomever receives these downloads will be blessed beyond their imaginations!

this song touched me personally. after years of being angry with my father, i felt as if i didn’t have one. i knew God was watching over me, and i knew he was my “Dad,” but this song just made me feel better about the whole thing all over again. i know my dad tried to connect with me, but things just happened along the way that made that impossible. God gave me the biological father that i have for a reason. and i also got distracted a lot on my path of my relationship with God. through me being upset with my family, i learned to cling to God, and “the one you need” just reminds me every time i hear it about how amazing God’s love is for me, and that even when the world lets me down, he won’t.

As a musician I crave creativity, and I enjoy staying up with latest. As a worship leader I am leary about introducing newer music to my congregation only because it is not always as faithful to the Gospel and I would like it to be. Shane and Shane are artists I never have to worry about promoting to my congregation. They are deep, yet simple in their message, and their musicality and creativity is off the charts! They are truly a blessing and and inspiration to me. Thanks for this opportunity!
Brian Millican says
Why do I need this album? Because Shane and Shane represent so much more to me than great music. Shane and Shane were one of the groups I started listening to when I got saved, and they will forever be linked to that amazing time in my life. I have seen them in concert four times, have met them in person, and have many of their other albums. If anyone is deserving of this “free” giveaway, I feel it is me. Me and the Shanes go waaaay back, and I would absolutely love to win this album. Thanks and God bless.
Casey says
I first became acquainted with Shane and Shane a few years ago when they were coming to give a concert at my school. Seeing how many of my fellow Worship Art’s colleges were attending, I was swayed into also attending. It was the best worship concert I have yet thus seen. I enjoy listening and mimicking their music. I would like to win their new CD because I have recently become a pastor and money is tight right now. Otherwise I would buy it in a heartbeat, but alas I must be wise with my resources.
Keith says
Great music and your blog is very helpful. Thanks for sharing!
David Santistevan says
Thanks for stopping by, Keith! Hope to see you again 🙂

Love the title track…and have always loved the authenticity of Shane & Shane… Is it wrong to pray to win the CD if that means others have to lose? HaHa!!
Matt Sanders says
Because I have loved these guys forever! I own their solo projects and Shane and Caleb…not quite the same ring to that name. 😉 I love the acoustic, chill feel to their music. And their new song, “The One You Need,” is so incredible to me since I have a one year old little girl! Also, because of that little girl and my little boy, the money I would use toward buying the cd could be used towards diapers or something like that!
Either way, thank you for the contest! I appreciate it!
Beverly Wiz says
Everyone seems to be saying that they would want to win the album because they love Shane and Shane. Well….I would like to win because I don’t know them and if you say they have influenced you and you love them…then….I guess….I NEED to get some of their music. I have heard them on TV but..I don’t own any of their music. It is hard to comment about them.
Bekah says
I love new good uplifting music. There’s something about it that can just turn your mood around. 🙂
Brandon Robbins says
The Shanes are both great guys. I love their passion for worship. Their music has had great impact on me. It’s quite touching & has made its way onto my personal favorites list of music I would call “The Soundtrack of My Life.” They are so open, real & genuine in a way that inspires me to worship & draw closer to God. So thankful for their ministry.
Jason Gangwish says
You’re awesome because God’s awesome. That’s why I’d like a copy:)
Chris Gambill says
Thanks for sharing the video. Great song. I haven’t encountered much of their music. Yet. But I will definitely be checking it out some more, especially after reading the comments posted here.

I had not heard much music by these guys until I saw this post. I am really digging their sound. Thanks David for another awesome intro to a band.
Stephen says
Pray for me – I’m not on Facebook, Twitter or Google+.
But…I do love me some Shane & Shane. I’ve been a huge fan of Shane & Shane since before they were Shane & Shane. Anybody ever heard of the band “Turning Circles”…or how ’bout “Shane & Caleb?” If there is any doubt about how much I love Shane and Shane…I even named my son “Everett” (after Mr. Shane Everett of course). I REALLY want to win this! Pick me please!
