Your ministry, that is.
Do you just show up and do it?
Do you fast and pray?
Do you spend a lot of time preparing music?
I’d love to share a few things I do, but I want to hear from you worship leaders or even preachers out there. How do you prepare your heart to do what God has called you to do? Much of what we do is based on routine. How do you keep it fresh and ensure you’re depending on the Holy Spirit each time?

yes the routine can introduce a rut. knowing that is half the battle. Here are the things that keep me fresh:
1. Time with HIM alone
2. plenty of time with faith-filled, Holy Spirit filled people…inspire me to pursue, to value HIS presence and power
3. keep perspective: my family (wife and boys) is a gift in this regard. have fun, laugh, enjoy the blessing of life.

MK, thanks for the thoughts. Love the fact that you’re keeping things in proper perspective. We miss you in Pittsburgh!
