Today is an exciting day as it’s the release of our first Christmas album Christ Has Come.
Many of you may be familiar with my blog and podcast but not as familiar with my church, Allison Park Church. Allison Park Worship is our worship ministry – a collective of worship leaders, musicians, and songwriters who serve our local church.
This is our second album and our very first Christmas project. Enter…Christ Has Come.
Music is such a gift from God. It has a way of touching the deepest parts of who we are as humans. When you combine Christ exalting truth with powerful music, you have something special. And that’s what we set out to create.
Many of the songs will be familiar to you: Angels We Have Heard on High, Silent Night, The First Noel, O Holy Night.
Christ Has Come is a song we wrote for our Christmas Eve services last year and has become an anthem that our church loves to declare:
Chains are breaking, hope is rising
In this place our hearts are waking
To the wonder, to the glory of our Savior
Christ Has Come
There are also some instrumental tracks like Snowfall, which was inspired by the winter season – sitting by the fire with a steaming cup of hot chocolate, watching the season’s first snowfall out your window.
O Come, O Come Emmanuel was meant to make you smile…and rock around the Christmas tree.
As for instrumentation, you’ll hear a little bit of everything here: pianos, guitars, fuzz laden guitar solos, banjos, synthesizers, dulcimers, ukuleles, electronic beats, vibes, bells, and cellos.
Christ Has Come is a fitting title, not just because it’s the title track. It’s the true meaning of Christmas and the truest revelation that changes everything, everyday.
Because Christ Has Come, we can be saved, forgiven, redeemed, healed, restored, and brought from darkness into light.
So, thanks for letting me ramble. We hope and pray this music puts a smile on your face and a fire in your heart this holiday season.

Love it. Will you release the multi tracks?
David Santistevan says
Hey Nick, glad you like it! Yes, we will release the loop tracks within a few days, along with chord charts. Look for them here on the blog and I’ll announce via social media. We’re getting them ready!

Do you have the loops and chord charts for your Christmas album yet?
Shannon Lewis says
Hey there, David… not a big fan of most Christmas music, so I’m always excited to find something fresh, & corporate. This is impressive! Also, happened upon APW’s prior CD from ’12, & let’s just say I’m blown away. Are you the primary writer? If so, I’d be honored to work together soon – I’m a firm believer in co-writing. Use my email above to get in touch. Again, GREAT WORK!
David Santistevan says
Shannon, that means so much! Thank you. Yea, I do most of the writing. There were a handful of co writes on Undying Love. Would love to connect and work together on something. Also, if you’re willing to help us spread the word about “Christ Has Come” that would be so helpful. Even just a quick shout out on social media. Thanks bro! Let’s connect soon.

Hey Dave, love this project! Just bought it on iTunes. Are you singing First Noel? Very cool, has a nice Reliant K vibe to it. BTW, I’ve got a new Christmas album too. 🙂 Peace bro.
David Santistevan says
Thanks Rob! Yep – that’s me on First Noel. Can you share the link to your album?
