Passion is a mysterious force. Sometimes you feel it. Sometimes you don’t.
Matter of fact, it’s very easy to lose passion for something that you’re passionate about.
I’m passionate about worship leading but I don’t always want to lead worship.
I’m passionate about Jesus, but I don’t always want to read my Bible.
What you decide to do in your passion-less moments is what will determine your effectiveness.
How many times have you said, “I wish I would have thought of that!”
How many times have you wondered, “How could something so simple become something so successful?”
Ideas.
We are all just one idea away from making it big – from creating that breakthrough product to crafting that perfect setlist to developing a discipleship strategy that is a unique game changer.

Today I wanted to present a follow up post to the message in Beyond Sunday.
There’s always a tendency among visionary leaders to lead from their task lists – to plow through and get things done. Many call it “hustle”.
It’s the place where we stop depending on God and simply work hard to achieve.
We forget that “all things are possible” with God and simply buckle down and work hard to accomplish goals.
If you’re a worship leader, routine is the name of the game. You pick songs, you program services, you rehearse your band, you lead worship on Sunday. Rinse and repeat.
But how do we move beyond the routine and really make a difference? How do we move beyond Sunday?
I love fame.
If I’m honest, fame influences my actions…every day.
I do a good deed so that my fame will dance around your mind.
I live to be noticed.
Maybe you’ll even share what I’ve done so that the spreading of my fame continues.
